48 hours after admitting my MacBook Pro to the Apple Genius Bar, I got the call it was being released. Cool. All $461 of parts and labor was covered by Apple Care. Phew. The Fujitsu hard drive transplant was a success (aside from loosing everything on the old drive.) I was lucky, actually well planned for with backups and a safe workflow, and didn't lose anything critical. Had this been my main Mac with no backups, everything would be gonzo. All of my photos, projects, email, music: gone I tell you, gone. Please take heed and backup now (this means you Jen.)
