Singing Queen about my MacBook Pro. Friday I had to take a dead Mac to the Apple Store Genius Bar for the first time. I went through all of the trouble shooting I know how to do, called Apple Care, and then got the first available appointment. I hopped on the scoot, with my ailing MBP in my backpack and cruised over Highway 17. It's most likely a fried hard drive, but could be a logic board. Either way, I'm so stoked I went with Apple Care. This Mac is about a year and a half old. These repairs would have cost about as much as an entirely new machine. With Apple Care everything is covered by Apple. Back up often and buy Apple Care with your next Mac.
"There are two types of people. Those who have had a hard drive crash and those who will."
Be safe out there.
