I made my first trip over the Grapevine in years. Thankfully it was far over the Grapevine, as we flew from San Jose to John Wayne. Jana and I headed south Friday afternoon to shoot with our dear friend Dane on Saturday in Manhattan Beach. Allison & Greg were the couple of the hour. They were great—we all laughed a lot that day. We spent the morning at this killer salon called, hush hush salon. The ceremony and reception took place at Verandas. Everything was fabulous—one of the smoothest weddings of which I've been a part. It was great to see Dane, Tami and their awesome kids and fun to see their world down in OC. Thanks for having us shoot with you Dane. Thanks to all of the Sanders for opening your home. Drew, a special thanks to you for giving up your bedroom for us. Let's do it again sooner than later. We love you guys!
No matter how fun the trip, returning home to the Santa Cruz mountains is always a breath of fresh air, both literally and figuratively. Jana and I made it back safely and we went for a walk through the trees before it got dark. Ahhh, home sweet home.
