"Come on Matthew, Come on Matthew," Gunnar called as he coaxed Matthew the potbelly pig out of the truck and into his front row seat/pen for the ceremony. That's more or less how the day started last Saturday at Kennolyn. This was a beautiful wedding and one full of firsts. It was my first time to shoot at Kennolyn, the first time there has been a pig in a tie and the first time the pet dog walked down the aisle in a wedding dress—it all just made you smile. I was glad Mike Murrow was there to help capture everything—he's money as a second shooter. Renée and Gunnar are both deeply spiritual people. Their love for each other, for their family and friends, and for all creatures was made crystal clear through their day. Congratulations you two. Peace be with you as you start your new life together.
Oh and one more first: a bridesmaid calling out the fellow by snagging the garter out of mid air and returning it to the groom for a re-toss. It was awesome.(see below. great capture mike) Click here to see Renée & Gunnar's slideshow of wedding photos.
