Wow, where did the year go? Last January 1 I casually embarked on a year long self-portrait-a-day project conducted on flickr. I wasn't sure how long I'd last in the throes of a rough 2009 new year, but 365 entries later I made it. Ok I have to fess up, I fell asleep on the couch one day, so there is a blank image one day. I figure that is a self portrait of some sort, like the pure minimalism sort. Anyway, it was a cool experience. Sure, I punted more than I hoped to, but I learned a ton about shooting and processing. It's been rewarding to have wedding clients ask to have some of the specific portrait styles duplicated in their photography. Here at the end of it all, I'm amazed how quickly a year can pass, one day at a time.
