This year has been amazing. Saturday was our fourth wedding in the past 14 days. So yes, we've been busy having fun. We had the pleasure of working with Nick McKay on this event.
Jasmine & Avery were the couple on the other side of the lens. They are great. We've had a good time getting to know them. Jasmine started the day off in style at the recently restored, West Cliff Inn in Santa Cruz. There was a huge marching band review taking place just down the hill in front of the Boardwalk. That made getting over to the Our Lady Star of the Sea, well, shall we say, "exciting." Everything worked out and Padre Alberto performed a beautiful ceremony. One thing that really stood out to us, was the special connection Jasmine & Avery have with their families. We saw this in Jasmine dancing with her grandmother, Avery dancing with his two adorable goddaughters and many other sweet moments. They also honored their family heritage by making their traditions a big part of the day—we got to see "jumping the broom" for the first time. Congratulations Jasmine & Avery. We look forward to seeing you around town. Hopefully we can join you at Whale City one of these Thursday nights.
